Saturday!

Phshew. I'm tired. Today was a busy day! I woke up this morning, had breakfast, then went to workout. After that, I went grocery shopping, came home, then braved the crowed at Sam's Club. People are crazy at Sam's on Saturday afternoon. Sheesh! After that, I came home and did some serious yard work with Chris. By the time that was done, I felt like my arms were going to fall off. So, I came in and showered, then slept until like 7pm.

tomorrow we're going to brunch with Carol and John & Steph. & Dan. Then, I think tomorrow evening, we're going to Beckie & Ryan's new pad, then out for desert. So, I think all in all, this will have been a most excellent weekend.

Next weekend we're going to Michigan for Tish & Jim's reception. I'm pretty excited about that. It seems like we're busy *all* *the* *time*. Not that I mind all that much...but it just seems like little projects I'd like to work on around the house never get started.

Well, that's about it. I'm doing laundry and catching up on TiVo now.

BlahBlah

Well, I did post the other day, but Blogger somehow ate my post and I wasn't able to get it back and really, I was just too lazy to re-type it or just post something like "blogger ate my post." So, whatever.

It's been raining pretty much all day. Can a sistah get a nap around here?

Well, today has really just been a crap-tas-tic day. I really dislike my job. I really need a new one. Besides that, I've learned today that no matter how pretty the box is, *you* cannot make Mocha like Starbucks with just a packet of mix and a mug of hot water. Really.

Anyway, as much as I'd like to stay and type..I must get back to work if I want to get out of here by the time night comes.

Why Can't I Say No?

I seriously can't say no to salespeople.  Which, is totally weird because I'm really a mean person...Really.  But, when people try to sell me stuff, while I don't say yes, I have a really hard time saying no...so I just end up making excuses...and then, they always have a rebuttal to my excuse.  I just need to toughen up..or something.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Tonight we went on a bike ride.  I think my bike needs to go in the shop.  My gears are all screwy.  It was a nice bike ride though.

Well, I don't really have anything else to say.  I'm going to look for a new pair of frames on eyeglasses.com because I think I'm going to get a new pair of glasses.

Reunion 2004

Hello Everybody!

I got home yesterday from the reunion in one piece! Woohoo! This years reunion was a lot of fun. Although, during the float trip, it started raining and lightening while we were on the river and that got a little hairy. My little cousin, who is 4, threw up neon-orange cheeto juice all over me because she was scared..but I guess I can't really blame her. Thankfully a nice guy in a boat came by and picked most of our group up from the shore and took them back to our landing point. That left myself, Chris, and another guy. We had to wait out the rain and then float down cause the nice guy in the boat failed to come back and get us!

Our horseshoe tournament got rained out (the first year ever) so we played a new game called 'sling-a-ding'..which I'd never heard of, but damn it was fun. Has anyone heard of this?

On the way home yesterday, we stopped at this shitty little diner in a town called Cherokee Pass. As soon as we walked in, I started sneezing, my nose started running, and my eyes were watering. At first I thought it was from all the smoke, but then I realized that half my family smokes and it hadn't bothered me all weekend. So, all the way home I was miserable. When we got home, I took some meds and napped all afternoon. I woke up just long enough to eat and take some more meds, then went back to sleep. Thankfully when I woke up this morning, I felt better...but I was tired as shit.

I forgot if I already talked about this or not, but I finally found a new car. It's the same car as my old one, just a year newer. I'm pretty happy with it though. Yay for finding a car...after 2 months of looking!

This week is going to be rather uneventful, I hope. On Thursday I have some friends coming over for a little get-together, and besides that, I don't know what else is going on.

Chris got me a gift certificate to Studio Branca for my birthday! Studio Branca is like my all time favorite place to go. If you haven't been, you totally need a massage like...now. So, hopefully I can get in this weekend for a massage, pedicure and maybe a facial. My sister got me a little organizer box thing for all my cake decorating stuff. And, I got some cash from different relatives. Oh, and the best present of all, my snotty mean-ass grandma (on my dad's side, whom I never talk to) sent me a birthday card, and wrote a snotty little comment on the front of the card. It really pissed me off, but then I found it kind of funny...considering that she's spent the last 10 years thinking of new reasons to dislike me! But, I guess I'll just let it go...

Well, that's about it. I've got a lot of work to get done today. Being out of the office for 3 days really sucks sometimes!

BTW, I hope you are happy now Asten. Ya fucker. I took time out of my busy day to update my blog. :P

Monday

Good Morning Party People! It's Monday again! How fantastic is that?!?!

This weekend, India came to visit and brought her friend Kara. We took them to Raging Rivers in IL on Saturday. At first, it was really cloudy and kinda chilly, but as the day went on, the sun came out and it was really nice. I got an excellent tan and had a ton of fun! By the time we got home, Chris and I were so freaking tired. We had planned on going downtown but, we ended up ordering a pizza and went to bed by 10:30pm.

Sunday we woke up tired too. We went over to Grandma's for lunch, and hung out with the family for a while. After that, we went over to Chris's mom & dad's place and watched TV and napped most of the afternoon. By the time we got home, I realized that the family reunion is only 3 days away and I basically had nothing done...so Chris worked on the address book I said I'd make for everyone, and I worked on typing up all the past minutes from our meetings (1980-Current), after I got that done, I went out to get gifts for the Oldest, Youngest, and Farthest traveled. And I picked up a few things for the float trip too. Now, all I have left to do is pack, pick up the trophies, and stop at the grocery store on the way to the resort.

I know I should make a list, because I always forget something.

Today should be a good day. The accountant is out today. Yay! I think our car salesman found me a new car. I will find out this afternoon!

Well, I should get back to work. Have a happy day people!

UGH

I need a new job. I'm getting so sick of my current one. Anybody know of any corporate admin. jobs available?

Jul 13, 2004

I hate titles.

So, the morning was going by slow, until I skipped out to go to Starbucks and get a Cinnamon Spice Mocha. MmmMMmm it's like crack.

So, one of our clients just came in and dropped some files off, and while he was talking to me...I noticed the heavy smell of drugs. The green kind you smoke. He totally looks like a stoner. I just didn't think he actually smoked.

It's really hot out today. Yesterday, when I got into my car after work, I sat down and nearly burned myself! (leather seats) Then, my elbow bumped into the metal part of the seat belt. OUCH. I will take extra care today when getting into my oven of a car.

I think Indy is coming up this weekend and bringing a friend to go to Raging Rivers with us. Should be fun. I'm totally looking forward to planting my behind in the Lazy River!

On a final note, it seems that my blog is being a hit for some regular visitors. That's cool. I'm not sure if everyone is just interested in what I have to say, or if everyone is just killing time. Either way, I find it kind of neat that the same people keep coming back to read me. I just thought I'd say that.

I guess I should get back to doing..work..I mean nothing. Hopefully the day goes by quick. I don't feel like doing anything to do with work today. I'm getting my hair straightened and trimmed tonight. I think I'm going to let my layers grow out, then go pageboy. We'll see!

Sleepy

Today was a good Monday. The day went by pretty fast. After work, I went to workout, then came home and had dinner. Now I'm really sleepy. Not tired, just sleepy.

This past weekend was a good weekend. Sunday we went to Wapelhorst Park and went swimming. It was a lot of fun. Saturday night we went out with some friends for dinner and a movie (which was a lot of fun too). Just a good weekend.

Tomorrow I'm going to get a haircut. I'm thinking I'm just going to get a trim...and maybe try to grow out my hair before vacation. But, I could change my mind at the last minute!

I need to put a ton of stuff on ebay. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. I need to sell my old notebook since I got this new one. If anyone's interested in a Dell CPX in great shape, let me know!

Well, that's about it. I'm about to fall asleep here. Maybe I'll just go to bed early for once! Or, maybe not. Last time I did that, I woke up at 1am and couldn't go back to sleep!

Jul 10, 2004

Well, I didn't find a car last night :( I mean, at least not one that I'm going to buy. I did really really like the C70 and the C70 Coupe but, it's a little out of my price range. Hopefully I will find something soon though.

Tonight we're going out to dinner with some friends at Stir Crazy. I've been there once for lunch, but not for dinner. After that I think we're going to go see a movie. Exciting, I know.

Tomorrow morning I'm going walking with Chris's mom. She goes on these marathon walks with her group of walking women. I've been with her before and man, it about kills me! So, I decided to go tomorrow. Since I'm not going to workout on Monday, I'll get my workout for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, tomorrow. ha!

The Cards won again today! Go Cards! Hopefully they'll win tomorrow also and sweep the Cubbies.

Well, that's about it I guess. I need to go get ready for tonight. I hope you all have a great rest of the weekend.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Check It Outtt...

It's Friday! Good times! However, it's going to be a hot Friday. But, that's okay with me. I'll take the heat over cold *any* day.

Well, my office is revamped! And, I can't decide if I love it or not. They're not totally done with it yet...I still need new lighting. Hopefully that will be done when I come in on Monday. I did get a new monitor though. It's a flat screen..which is A-OK with me!

Tonight we're going to the Volvo dealer to try and find a new car. Wish me luck. Our salesman hasn't been able to find me a replacement for my current S40...so I may have to start looking at S60's..which I really don't want to do. So, we'll see what happens tonight. Hopefully I'll find something I like tonight. After that, we're supposed to go out to Sugar Creek Winery but I'm not sure if I'm up for that. Maybe we'll go see a movie instead.

Well, that's about it. I'm really busy today and need to get some stuff done. See ya!

Jul 7, 2004

It's almost Friday...

Tonight, Beckie and I went out to dinner at Applebees. I haven't been there in a long time and I'd forgotten how much I love their salads.

I'm tired. I didn't realize it was almost 10pm. I'm totally dreading going to work tomorrow since the office is totally torn up. I'm going to bet that I get no work done tomorrow. Thank goodness it's almost Friday. I'm so ready for another weekend. I just can't decide what I want to do this weekend. Have people over..or go out. I'm torn.

Well, I think that's it for today. I'm tired. I'm going to research some info on scooters, then go to bed. Night!

Wow, it's amazing how fast this day is going by. (Not that I mind or anything...) I've been pretty busy most of the day today. I guess it helped that I came in about an hour and a half later than usual.

This morning, I went to the DMV to get my license renewed. First, let me just say that I think it's crappy that you have to pay $20 to get it renewed. Whatever happened to the bartering system? I mean, shit. I have a few things I'd be more than happy to trade. Anyway, my new license looks funny. Sort of like a fake ID. My picture looks great..however I go to great pains to take good drivers license pictures..so that's really no great accomplishment, because my DL pictures always look good. However, my new license is all glossy looking. I guess MO got a new DL design, however I will say that I wish they would have kept the old one. Because my new license does not meet my specifications. (Not that it matters or anything.) It's just..too...glossy. I don't know what else to say about it, other than it looks fake.

I noticed that American has flights to DC this week for $139. A decent price me thinks. However, considering I have no desire to visit DC while Bush is in office...I will have to let this flight slip. *shrug* Maybe next year...when Kerry is in office. teehee.

Well, I'm supposed to play volleyball tonight, but I think I'm going to skip out. I'm going to workout instead, and hang with Beckie.

My family reunion is quickly approaching (July 21-25) and I'm totally not ready. Considering I have to psyche myself up weeks in advance to spend that much time with my family...I don't even have all the things I need to get for the reunion. (I'm the President this year) So, I really need to get on the ball. Maybe this weekend I'll go get everything. Does anyone know where to get a Horseshoe Tournament Trophy in St. Louis??? Anyone, Anyone?

Well, I think I'll go back to my endless search for a new cell phone. Plus, I have work to do. Seeya!

Jul 6, 2004

Okay. The testing is over.

This is not a test. This is a real post!

Welcome to my new home. Thanks to Jon who's hosting me.

Now on to the stuff about me!

This past week I went to Cornerstone. I had a *great* time this year. I saw a ton of bands. I think my favorite show was Lovedrug followed by Switchfoot, and Pedro the Lion. I saw P.O.D, Reliant K, Project 86, mewithoutyou, Celestial Static, and many others that I just can't think of right now. I did miss the Denison Witmer show, but that's okay. I'm going to try and catch him in Indy, or Cincy later this summer.

After I got home, we went over to Chris's cousin's house for a 4th of July Party. It was fun, but I was tired so, we ate, visited, and went home early.

Yesterday we went to see Fahrenheit 9/11. It was a great documentary and I would totally go see it again. Though, I must say, when I walked out of the theatre, I was a little pissed off again about the whole election thing where, the guy who lost is actually our President. GRRRRRR. But, I did learn a few things that I didn't know, and basically, it just reminded me why I'm going to vote in November.

That brings us to today. I woke up early this morning..partly because our electricity blinked on and off and turned some lights on, and partly because Chris woke me up. (Imagine that.) So, I came into work early and got a lot done. I guess that's a good thing, considering that my boss informed me that the office is getting remodeled starting tonight, so I'm going to have to move my desk before I go home. Oh fun!

Well, that's it for now. I hope you like my new home. I'll post more later!
