Cold As Fire, Hot As Ice

So, I have the new Britney Spears CD. Blackout. I like it, I do. Seriously. Stop laughing! Give it a listen. Anyway, one of the songs is my title. And I don't get it. What in the hell do you mean Cold As Fire, Hot As Ice? I take that to mean that you're not very hot and your not very cool. You're insulting yourself. It's crazy.

I'm getting sick again. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection or something. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Anyway, moving on. A lot of my blogging friends are doing the daily blog posting thingie this month. Kudos to them. I would have liked to participate, but lets face it, I would have blown it. I'm not the greatest blog poster ever. Oh well! Happy writing bloggers!

On the work front, I don't know any more than I knew yesterday. (Sorry Jeffy!) I'm still doing the EVERYTHING job. What's the everything job you ask? Well, it's the job that gets to do everything that nobody else a. wants to, b. can, or c. hasn't thought of doing. My co-worker is keeping tick marks on his whiteboard for me. Everytime I lose my mind, he puts a tick up. When I go into Defcon Angry, he uses a red marker. That is so sad, I think.

Before I go, The Office is funny. That is all.

Yummy Yummy Yummy

Tacos in my tummy! We hit up the Mexican grocery store on Saturday and tonight we had yummy tacos. Wheee!

This morning started out great! Then I got to work. And my day went to shit. Typical. We had a "merger" meeting today. We found out that our current VP of my division in our legacy firm, will NOT be the VP for the new firm. No, the VP for the new firm is obviously from the firm that bought us. OF COURSE HE IS! Duh. Oh sweet job gods. Please shine down on me and either let me know what my job is going to be, or bring me a new, kickass, high paying job that I love. Maybe? Please!

Well, I'm going to take my tummy full of tacos and finish watching this movie, and then I'm going to get crackin on some work I brought home. Because I am so. fucking. dedicated. Seriously.

A Good Weekend

This is the first weekend I've had in a long time where I've felt productive at the end. I hung out with friends, did laundry, got some sleep, watched some movies, did some homework, went grocery shopping, ate good food, and got some work done. Good stuff. I'm actually refreshed and ready to face a new week of merger related gooeyness!

This weekend, I'm going to CoMo to hang out with my lovely sister at the last Mizzou home game of the year. Looking forward to that too.

Oh, AND we're having dinner with some friends we haven't seen in a while this week too. I'm stay optimistic for a good week.

I hope I'll blog more this week too. Since my homework is done, I should have more time.

I hope you all have a good week.

It's Been A While...

I apologize. I'm a bad blogger. But I'm here now, and that's all that matters.

Lately, I've been busy with work. A lot busy, actually. So busy that I'm dropping a class next semester because I don't have time to do my homework. I'm barely finding the time to do the homework for the class I'm taking. So, that sort of sucks, but college isn't exactly paying my bills. School has me a little pissed off anyway. This past Thursday, we (the students) walked out on the professor because he was arguing with a student. It wasn't a disagreement argument, it was a a full blow, yelling and screaming match. Totally ridiculous. I personally, don't have time to sit around and watch two grown men scream at each other like five year olds. So, it was sort of a big deal, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, so I'm thinking maybe the break isn't such a bad thing.

Last night was another happy hour for a another co-worker who is leaving the firm. I've been to so many happy hours lately, that I think it's left me permanently happy. This HH was at Laclede Street. Every time I go to that damn place, I get shitty. The drinks are so cheap, and they tend to make you two fist them. Great. So, anyway, after the drunken happy hour, Chris, Cindy, and I headed out to Michael's Post Halloween party. It was a good time. There was a huge bonfire, and a spooky hayride. Fun! Of course, I paid for the fun today by sleeping until 2pm.

Right now, I'm watching A Mighty Heart, the Daniel Pearl story. So far, it's not bad. Angelina has a really shitty French accent though.

Watching this movie reaffirms my distaste for the ignorance of people. Religious wars have their place. I do believe that. But, I also believe that the turbulence in the middle east has turned into something totally separate now. It's like they started fighting for the right reasons, and then forgot what they were fighting for. Now, they just fight to fight. They kill their own people. It's crazy. Something I'll never be able to wrap my mind around.

So anywho, that's about it. I'm a slave to my work, and I'm hating school. At least I have Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to.
