My out of office reply at work begins like this, "I am currently on vacation in the Caribbean..." I wonder if my co-workers will be able to tell that work will be the last thing on my mind? Anyway, I'll be back May 2nd. In the meantime, since Chris is staying behind, I may have him post some updates if I can bring myself to email him something from the sea! Pictures when I get back!
My sister ran in her first half marathon today. She finished in 2 hours and 45 minutes. I'm really proud of her. Afterwards, we went to lunch at Macaroni Grill. I thought I'd just throw that in there.
It's been a busy past week. I finished my class and am of course, on break! That will slow things down a little. However, I'm getting completely overwhelmed with my upcoming trip, finding a new housekeeper, work, etc. These next two weeks will be madness. I'm warning myself in advance.
Last night we went to Fairmount Park with a big group of people and then afterwards hit the Oz. We had a great time and I even won by betting on the horses! Woo. The only downside is that I didn't get home until 3 this morning. Ai yai yai.
Next weekend is Easter, and we're going to my Mom's on Saturday & Sunday. I'm off work on Friday, and we're going to have our first official BBQ. Big fun stuff.
Well, that's it. I have too much in my head to put into words, so I'll try again in a coupla days.
So I'm healthy again and back at work. I can actually say I'm glad to be back at work. I really dislike having to stay at home during the day. For some reason, the past two mornings I've been waking up really really early in the morning and have just been wide awake. This morning, I woke up around 4:30 and stayed up. I ended up going into work early and as a result, I came home early. Nice how that works.
After this Thursday, I will be on a month break from school. I'm glad. For instance, on Thursday, I have a paper due and a group presentation due. I have neither one completed. I just don't have the fire to do them. Sadly, I can say that I've only given about 40% of my effort to this class. So, the break will be nice. Plus, on that break I'll be basking in the Caribbean sun, so that will help to get my mojo back.
Speaking of my upcoming trip, I'm getting super excited. I'm down to 17 days to go. I've been tanning, and hopefully this weekend I can start packing. I still have some shopping to do for a new dress and some new shorts, then I should be set to go. Oh, and Chris is buying me this to take with me. I don't want to take our Rebel because it's too big and I don't want to lug it around. At least with this, I can just point and shoot all quickly like!
Hmm, what else? I've noticed that several bloggers have been feeling a little uninspired as of late. I hope they get their mojo back. Especially this one. I always look forward to her posts.
In other news, I'm having a Partylite party next Tuesday at 7. It's really more of a happy hour. Nobody is obliged to buy anything, and I seriously mean that. A friend of mine recently started selling the stuff and she needed people to book a few parties so she could get some practice. She's totally non pressure. I'll have some yummy food and a ton of drinks. If you'd like to come, let me know and I'll email you the specifics. Besides, what a better way to meet fellow bloggers than through alcohol and fire!
One more thing. I know I have a double post below. Blogger is retarded sometimes, though so am I. So, it's going to stay as a double post. That is all.
