Pomegranate

I recently purchased some bodywash that is Pomegranate Martini flavored. I also got the lotion and the body spray. Now, not only can I drink Pomegranate Martini's, I can walk around smelling like one. Life can't really get much better than that.

I put some pictures up from last night. After the BBQ, and after Lori, Kara, and I polished off a bottle of this, we headed out for a night of karaoke. I was so wasted that not only did I get up and sing, I was also Kelly's back up dancer when she sang. Oh, crazy nights.

Today we went to a pool party and BBQ. I got some more sun and ate too much food. Today has felt weird. Like I don't know what day it is. Is it Sunday? It felt like a Sunday. Yet it was really a Monday. It's going to be a weirdo week.

Ridin' Derty

Well, not really.

A BBQ will be taking place here in a few hours. 88 bottles of beer are on ice. They will all be drained by probably 7ish. It's hot out. That's why. Beer goes down too easy on a hot day. Coincidentally, I love hot days and I love beer. It's a win-win situation. Food by the ton is on the menu today. Ribs, chicken, burgers, pasta salad, potato salad, baked beans, meatballs, a veggie tray, shrimp dip, chips & dip, brownies, lemonade cheesecake, and I think that about covers it.

Yesterday I went to Kara's parents house to relax in their swanky pool. Missouri sun doesn't compare to the power of the Caribbean sun, but it works. I sunned while floating on the most comfortable floatie thing ever. It was lovely. Now, I'm even more tanned than I was before. Therefore, I'm wearing a white shirt today. White goes with tanned skin like cold goes with beer. You just can't have one without the other.

Now, I know some of you may be wondering why you didn't get an invite to this BBQ. The short answer is, I hate you. No. I'm kidding, of course. It's only because I forgot to invite you. Come over if you want. We'll eat around 4:30ish. To be honest, I even forgot to invite my Uncle who just moved here from Boston. Quite frankly because I forgot he even moved to St. Louis. Blame it on my busy month. Don't be offended if you didn't get invited. Get over it and come have a beer.

I burnt my fingers on the crockpot earlier. It hurt like a mofo. Who knew a crockpot could get so hot, so quickly. I apparently, did not. Oh, while I'm on the topic of bad things, I broke a $60 candleholder a few minutes ago while trying to pry old candle wax from it. Who knew a butter knife was so powerful? I apparently, did not.

Oh, one more thing. I got a bunch of new music this past week on my iPizzle, also known as Celeste. I got the new Dixie Chicks album (which is a kickass, btw.), Slim Thug, T.I., Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Three 6 Mafia, Tony Yayo, & Young Jeezy. After reading what I just typed, the only thing that comes to mind is the song, "One of these is not like the other....."

I'm An Idiot.

I have been trying to post for like a long time. However, apparently I'm too stupid to remember my username and password. Go figure.

I've been really busy lately, obviously. I wish I could post more, I just don't have time. So, tonight, I am making time.

This weekend, I went to a happy hour on Friday, then on Saturday I had a bridal shower and a bachelorette party to attend, and on Sunday my sister came up to go shopping and then later we went over to Belleville to the drive-in theater to see DaVinci Code. It was quite a weekend. Thankfully the month of busy May is almost over! June is looking really good so far.

I feel like it's been so long since I've blogged that I have no idea what to blog about anymore. Tonight I went out to deposit a check in the ATM, and ended up going to Target, then going to the carwash to vacuum my car. On top of vacuuming my car, I ended up washing & waxing it, and also Armor all'd the crap out of it. Did I mention that I *heart* my car? Ahh sweet ass car!

Oh, another little nugget of bloggidy goodness I'll share with you! On Friday night, I ended up on the East side for a night of drinking and dancing. While at a certain dance club, I got hit on by a young male. He claims he was 21, but I think he was more like 18. Anyway, he should get an award for stupidest pick-up line of the year. Here goes. He said to me, "Girrrrrl! You are so beautiful. You'd make some beautiful little babies with a brutha." I couldn't make this shit up. I was just stunned. Where do men come up with this shit? Freaks.

Well this is my attempt at a blog post. Maybe once I get warmed up, my posts will get a little better! But, then again, maybe they won't.

A Good Weekend

This weekend my little sister graduated from college. On the same day, she got engaged!

I Haveth Returneth or Something

Well, I'm back from all my vacations. Here are the pictures from the cruise, Here are the pictures from the wedding. Be warned though, the pictures from the wedding haven't been sorted yet so they may look a little funky. The wedding was beautiful and I had a great time. I'll have more pictures (that Chris took with the Rebel) up later. He's still sorting through them.

Since I've been back, I've been extremely busy. I'm exhausted. If I was a celebrity, I would check myself into a hospital for exhaustion. Seriously. Tomorrow after work, is my Dining Liberally group. Then, after that is over, I have to come home and pack so that we can leave tomorrow night to go to my sisters because she is graduation from college this weekend! Yay! Actually, Friday afternoon, Chris's sister is graduating from Vet school. Saturday morning is my sisters Honor's graduation, then after that we have to drive down to Springfield for Melissa & Tony's reception. Then, Sunday morning, drive back to Columbia for the real graduation, then the graduation party. I'll probably get back on Sunday night around midnight or so. I'm tired just from typing that.

So, that's my story. At least 1/3 of it. Maybe next week, after I've had some sleep, I'll feel a little more like blogging. Until then, I hope you enjoy my photos 'o' goodness.

Gone Again

I leave again today for Melissa's wedding in Nassau. It's a quick trip, as I'll be back on Sunday night. As always, pictures will follow shortly after I return. Miss me while I'm gone!

A Quick Vacay Recap

Jeff asked how the food was on the cruise. It was okay. Nothing to talk about really. Really, I was more into drinking on this cruise than eating. I can tell you that the rum, vodka, and Red Bull were all very top notch! I had a fabulous time on this cruise. I met a ton of people too. I snorkeled, swam, tanned, shopped, danced, got massaged, slept, and drank lots of alcohol.

When our cruise got back to Miami, we stayed in South Beach at The Palms. Now, most of you know how much I love South Beach, but none of you know how much I love The Palms. So, I will tell you. I love that place. I could just stay at the pool, sipping on mojitos, staring off into nothing forever. The room was lovely, as was every other place in the building. LOVED IT!

Today I went back to work. It sucked horribly. However, I am leaving on Thursday for Nassau, so I guess I can make it through one more day of work. Yes, I know it's a tough life I lead.
