My Crazy Week

At first, I thought it was due to the stock market tanking this week. By Wednesday, I had come to the conclusion that there was obviously something in the downtown water supply that was making people crazy. Work was crazy busy/stressful. I've mentioned before there are major changes going on, unfortunately I can't talk about them right now, due to the fact that a few co-workers read my blog and they have no idea of these changes. So, all of that was happening, along with more crazy personnel issues to deal with. Then, I had a rental car for 2 days. It was the crappiest rental car I've ever had. Really. It was old and busted. I'm being completely honest when I say that I wasn't even aware that they still made cars without power windows, locks, or cruise control. Apparently they do though. I finally got my car back, with new speakers, a thermostat do-dad replaced in the engine, and an oil change I didn't ask for. After a bit of questioning, I ended up getting a $20 discount and a free oil change worth $50. I think I came out ahead.

So, after I picked up my car, I headed to school. I got my test back from last week and I did really well on it. Thankfully! Then, I got a new test. I really believe I totally bombed on it. As in, not even one question right. I was so upset about it. I did manage to talk to the professor about it though and she agreed to let me fix anything I get wrong for 1/2 credit. I was really happy about that. Anyway, all through class I was stressed out and extremely tired. At 10, when class was over, I realized I couldn't find my keys. For fuck's sake! It was a mess. I had to walk across campus to security, and they didn't have them. They told me to wait 10 minutes and they'd come help me. I walked to the quad and just dumped all my shit out in frustration. I found my keys. In my bookbag. UGH. I finally left school around 10:45. It was not a good night.

So, after this stressful week, I decided that I needed a massage and a facial (and no, not the kind of facial I know you're thinking of.) Instead of going to Studio Branca, as I usually do, I decided to go to the Face and the Body Spa out in O'Fallon. This was the first time I'd had a facial, so I didn't really know what to expect, but I certainly didn't expect to be hit in the face. So, you know how when you go to the korean nail salons for a pedicure and they "massage" your legs by hitting and pounding on them? Well, the woman who did my facial used that same philosophy on my face. I remember laying there thinking to myself, "WHY ARE YOU HITTING ME!?!?" I didn't really enjoy it. I also didn't really care for having layer after layer of goop put on my face, then wiped off, then put back on, then taken off, errr you get the point. The massage wasn't that much better. The rooms were so small and not private that I could hear the conversations going on in other rooms, the hallway, etc. The massage itself was okay though. Not the best I've ever had though. I definitely won't be going back to that place. Anyway, after I got home today, I crashed out and slept until around 7pm. It felt nice to rest. Now I'm hoping I won't stay up all night.

So, that's my week in a nutshell. They one thing that's getting me through is the fact that I'm now one week closer to going to Vegas, baby!

I can smack in the face for free! I've wanted a facial, the not dirty version for a while but haven't done it. I don't think to do girl crap often. A manicure should be on my list...but then again the money could go to oh...the cost of living...
