Saturday!
Wooo. It's Saturday and the 20th of November, which just happens to be Chris's birthday. Happy Birthday Chris! He's 28 today. He told me this morning he feels like he's got 1 foot in the grave...I just laughed.
Tonight we're going out to dinner with some friends, and then we'll either go to Soulard or the Tap Room. We haven't decided yet.
I saw the coolest little toys in this month's Wired. Giant Microbes plush toys. What a cool idea! Little stuffed animals that resemble germs. You could teach your kid what the HCV virus looks like...or even what an Ulcer looks like. They're like $6-7 each.
I got a new CD that I think everyone should get. Modest Mouse's new one. Good News For People Who Love Bad News. It's pretty good. I 'm also diggin' Donavon Frankenreiter.
I haven't picked up that CD yet, but I think I might. I like the songs on his website.
Work really sucked this week. This was the hardest week I've had at work in a long time. Like...at least 3 years. I really hope next week is a little better..though somehow I think it won't be. There's a huge deadline we're working toward that I'm thinking we won't make...but shhhh don't tell anyone I said that. We'll see though. I'm totally resting up this weekend in preparation for a hard week.
Tomorrow I'm going to my cousin Katy's babyshower. I got her one of those Pack and Play playpen thingies and some little bibs and some clothes. Baby stuff is really expensive. I don't get it. I mean, especially for clothes, it's not like the designers are using as much material to make them. Sheesh! Then, I was thinking how cute it would be if Manolo Blahnik made baby shoes! Maybe they wouldn't be $300 but...chances are, they'd be $600.
Well, that's it for now. I'm badly in need of a cocktail and I'm tired of typing on this stupid keyboard. Chris, dear, you need a new keyboard.
Oh, and before I go, I just want to say thanks to my faithful blog readers. I've noticed there are a lot of the same people who check my blog daily..and even though lately I'm doing piss poorly on updates, I really appreciate it.
