The Eve of the Election

So, we get to vote tomorrow. Yippee! I'm excited that it's almost over. No more political commercials, no more commentaries, no more presidential candidates. Yay! And, of course I get to exercise my right to vote. That's a good thing. Everybody should go out and vote. Vote Vote Vote!

So anyway, what a crappy day it was today. Rain..all day. And, it was dark when I got off work. Damn you Daylight Savings Time! I mean, is anyone else ready for bed around 6:30pm now? I always feel like it's 10:30pm and I should be taking a shower and getting ready for bed. Then, I realize it's only 6:30 and I still need to make dinner and do things like..laundry! So, that's one of my current pet peeves. And speaking of pet peeves..let me tell you what happened today. This guy I work with likes to buy smoothies from the coffee shop at my work. Anyway, apparently (or so I was told) the smoothies are really huge and he can't always drink them by himself. So, before I started there, he would split his smoothie with my boss. So, 2 weeks ago, I was having lunch with my boss and she was telling me about the smoothie guy. And I mentioned that I liked smoothies. And actually, to be honest with you, the blogging community, I don't really like smoothies, but I didn't want to let my boss know that I'm a smoothie hater. Anyway, so apparently she told Mr. Smoothie that I liked smoothies and he should split his smoothie with me sometime. So, today, he came up to me and asked me if I wanted to split his smoothie with him. So, I was getting ready to go to a meeting and I said sure! A smoothie would be great to take with me to this meeting. And I was thinking that I could chew on the straw during the whole meeting in boredom..but anyway, back to my story. He brings me my part of the smoothie and I say thank you. Well, a few hours later, he comes up to me and asks me how I liked the smoothie...and of course, I say it was good. He told me "It's $2.00"..and I say "wow, $2.00 is a good price for that smoothie!" and he says, "no, $2.00 a smoothie. You owe me $2.00." And honestly, I was so shocked that I couldn't really say anything but, ok. So let me get this straight..you offer to SHARE YOUR SMOOTHIE with me, THEN tell me I owe you $2.00??? Well listen Mr....I may be new, but I didn't fall fresh off the turnip truck. So, I know when you OFFER to split something with me, I don't owe you jack or shit. So, good luck Mr. Smoothie Guy I Work With on getting your $2.00..and for future reference, don't ever ask me if I want to have some of your nasty ass smoothie again.

So, now that that's out of the way. I went to the gym tonight and took out some of my smoothie aggression on the elliptical. It felt nice too. So, when I got home, I had a sandwich consisting of an english muffin, some egg beaters, 1 wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, and a piece of Canadian Bacon. It was pretty yummy!

Well, that's it from my pretty insignificant world. I'm really tired for some reason (Thank You Mr. Daylight Savings Time....perhaps you're related to Mr. Jackass Smoothie King.) so I think I'm going to hit the sack. Maybe tomorrow I will have enough energy to tell you of my bedroom rearranging/redecorating.
